Masada Opens
Membership Rolls
To Young Women

In line with a policy estab-
lished last fall by national Masa
da, General Zionist youth organ-
ization, the Detroit chapter will
henceforth be open to young men
and women aged 18 to 35, Dr.
Samuel Krohn, president, an-
nounced this week.
Detroit Masada, retaining its
original identity as a young men's
Zionist group, has worked in co-
epration with Junior Hadassah,
the young women's General Zion-
ist organization, since last Octo-
ber. "Since Masada is now com-
pletely co-educational, the De-
troit groups felt it would be to
their best , interests to terminate
the 'cooperative program at this
time," Dr. Krohn stated.
To implement this change in
policy, the Masada board of di-
rectors has been enlarged to 28
members, and appointment of
several young women to be on
the board is now being effected.
"It is to provide a program
which will most effectively fur-
ther the aims of General Zionism,
that Marada has opened its mem-
bership to the young women of
the community," Dr. Krohn de-
clared.
