Job Opportunities Sought

cupation of China again forced
him to discontinue operations.
As arbitrator and evaluator of
real estate affairs for the Jewish
community in Shanghai, Mr. Cha-
sin again displayed his ability to
handle a position of authority and
responsibility. Forced by circum-
stance to move again, he migrated
to Detroit.
"What am I to do?" he asked.
"The work I know best is the real
estate business and in Michigan

to see the director. The recep-

fore he voiced his request. Like
many other European refugees
who had come to America hoping
to find'security, he too had found
his way to the Vocational Service
office.
About 55 years old, he carried
himself in the manner of one who
had once been . a successful busi-
nessman and would be again, if
he was given' the opportunity.
The Jewish Vocational Service

tries its best to place people like
Mr. Chasin, as he will be called
here in responsible jobs where
they can best get ahead.
His excellent appearance and
impressive bearing are indicative
of his background. Born in Ger-
many, Mr. Chasin was educated in
the best schools. His youth was
spent in learning the real estate
and brokerage business and he
operated his own business for 20
years. When the Nazis took over
his homeland, he moved to Shang-
hai, where he established the
same type of business. After nine
years, however, the Japanese oc-

Mr. Chasin could be a caretaker
of an apartment building or a
property manager; he could han-
dle the job of a room clerk or a
desk clerk; he could work in some
office doing non-typing clerical
work with the same thoroughness
that he showed in his business
dealings in Europe and China. He
has a good knowledge of the
English language.
Somewhere in Detroit there are
jobs needing men with talents
similar to Mr. Chasin's. Perhaps
it is in your firm or perhaps you
know of someone who could use
experienced, stable employees.
If so, the Jewish Vocational Ser-
vice will be glad to hear from
you. Call CA. 8570 or write to
the Jewish Vocational Service,
320 W. Lafayette, Detroit 26.
