ROME, (JTA). — Sixteen Jew-
ish refugees were forced to dis-
embark .from an immigrant . ship
which would have taken them 'to
new homes in Brazil because
they feared bodily harm at the
hands of fellow non-Jewish im-
migrants.
The Jews, part of a group of
2,000 whose. immigration had been
arranged by. the International
Refugee Organization, were warn-
ed that they would be killed dur-
ing the ocean voyage if they did
not leave the vessel. They re-
turned to their barracks at the
,Cinacita Camp, near here.
