ing this Friday for Coronado Beach, Calif., where they plan to spend
the winter months.
Mrs. Anne Holtzman and Mrs. Herman Wetsman, of West Chi-
cago, are planning to leave this week-end for a visit . in Los Angeles.
Mr. and Mrs. Leon G. Winkelman, of Fairfield Ave., are leaving
this Saturday to spend a month in Hawaii and Los Angeles. •• -
Mr. and Mrs. Irving Dworkin and daughter, Barbara, left Thurs-
day for Toronto .where they will spend a week.
Miss Elaine Betty Phillips, whose marriage to Morris New-
man takes place on Feb. 1, was entertained at pre-nuptial
_ affairs by the following: Mesdames William Shapiro, Julius
Simon, M. Direnfeld, I. E. Goodman, David Lieberwitz, Sam
Simon, Sam Gerendasy, Ben Franklin and Al Selesnick.
Henrietta Garvett of 2996 Monterey is spending a month in
Miami visiting her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Martin
K. Marrich.

.attended the 29th annual Zionist convention at the Chated'u Laurier
and visited Mr. and Mrs. Jack Davis in Montreal.
Mr. and Mrs. Jay Wainer of Northlawn Ave. left Sunday for a
two'Aveek stay at the Waldorf-Astoria in New York.
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Falk and daughter, Nancy, are visiting in
New York and Boston.
Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Hordes celebrated their 31st wedding anni-
versary Jan. 23.
Minnie Bernstein of Joy Rd. and. Mrs. Morris Burnstein and
children of Tuxedo Ave. left Jan. 28 for Toronto, where they will
attend the wedding of Melvin Robins of Detroit to Judith Bell of
Toronto. •
Mr. and Mrs. Abraham Lemberg of 225 Merton Rd. are vaca-
tioning in Miami Beach.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Metz of Taylor Ave. left Jan. 7 to visit
their son and his family in Phoenix, -Ariz. They will continue to
Yellowstone Park and California and expect to return home in March.
Among the Detroiters vacationing at the Triton Hotel, Miami
Beach, are Mr. and Mrs. Gustav Rice, Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Bielfield.
Mr. and Mrs. Nate C. Rosenfeld, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Tack and Mr. and
Mrs. Moe Ehrlich. Mr. and Mrs. Max Loewenstein and Mr. and Mrs.
Max J. Gerstman, who were guests at the. hotel, have already re-
turned home.
Mr. and Mrs. Al Hoffman and children, Gilbert, Howard and
Sandra, have left Detroit for permanent residence in Los Angeles.
