nounces that its annual Honor
Roll event will take place at 8:30
p.m. Monday, Jan. 19, at the War-
dell-Shearton Hotel.
Contributions from the Di-
vision's pledges will go toward
the Hadassah` medical services
in Palestine, Goldie Slakter, di-
vision chairman, explained. The
need for such contributions wid-
ens every day, she added, as more
and more immigrants, requiring
medical and psychological aid,
reach Palestine.

Jewish Folk Chorus
To Present Annual
Concert January 25

The Jewish Folk Chorus, un-
der the direction of Henri Gold-
berg, will present its Mid-Winter
Concert at 8 p. m. Sunday, Jan.
25, at the Jewish Community
Center.
The oratorio, "Martirer Blut"
by Jacob Schaefer, and a group
of ghetto and partisan songs, will
be included on the program.
Shoshana Brook Freedman: so-
prano, and Pavel Slavensky, bari-
tone, will be guest soloists. Aliza
Stulman and Florence Kutzen are
the accompanists. Eugene Mallek,
conductor of the Chicago Jewish
Folk Chorus,, will give a shbrt
resume of Schaefer's life.

Convenes in St. Louis

The UJA announced this week
that the delegation of 50 will
travel on a Freedom Plane from
Los Angeles, making several stop-.
overs throughout the country to
pick up delegates in various
cities. -
The plane will leave Los
Angeles on Jan. 25: At Chicago,
it will pick up the Chicago dele-
gation and the two Detroit
delegates. It will arrive in New
York On Sunday night, Jan. 25.
Monday, Jan. 26 will be devoted
by delegates to a briefing by
national leaders in New York,
the trans-Atlantic plane leaving
for Paris on san. 27.
From Paris th delegates will
go to DP camps Ind from there
to Palestine. - A study will be made
of survivors from Nazism as well
as the work of the Jewish pio-
neers in Palestine.
Both Detroit leaders have been
active in Allied Jewish Cam-
paigns and o t hie r community
causes.
Mr. Berry, in addition to his
leadership in the overseas relief
and Palestine reconstruction
drives, has taken an active in-
terest in many causes. • He was
active in the. Jewish Hospital
drive, in behalf of Haganah and
the Technion. He has assisted the
