Contact Lenses Advised

The art of prescribing and fit-
ting contact lenses has been long
in developing. However, as in
many arts which have gained
public acceptance, the prescrib-
W rag a n d fitting
of contact lenses
has been gaining
in an ever in-
creasing tempo.
The uses of con-
tact lenses are
both varied and
numerous. Con-
,
tact lenses are
,prescribed f o r
people of many
Dr. Burton professions a n d
avocations. In many of these
cases the patient could not have
indulged in the undertaking of
his or her choice had it not been
for the perfection of these lenses.
The jumping up and down —
the running in all directions and
the sudden stops which are re-
quired in many fields of activity
such as tennis, handball, etc.,
would make the wearing of ordi-
nary lenses undesirable. Also to
those who enjoy swimming, ski-
ing and tobogganing, the fact
that contact lenses are unbreak-
able, invisible, (see picture) offer
wider field of vision, require no
frame and are not made useless
by rain,.steam or snow, make the
wearing of contact lenses truly a
modern miracle of vision. Fur
er information can be had by
calling DR. BURTON at VErmont
6-6979.
Dr. Burton who has worn con-
tact lenses for several years, and
wears theM 12 to 18 hours daily,
devotes a major portion of his
practice to the custom. mold fit-
ting of contact lenses.
