YOUTH SPEAKS
The Youth Speaks forum pre-
sented this month at Shaarey
Zedek was a triumphant success.
Danny Oppenheim and Charlotte
Arkin of Temple Israel held up
the affirmative side, of the ques-
tion: "Are our Schools Educating
for a Democratic Way of Life?"
Jerry Bronson and Anita Meskin's
answer' was "no", with Anita
bringing in striking examples.
After Sid Klaus tried to stump
both sides, who were well pre-
pared with "tough" questions, the
meeting was thrown open to the
audience, so enthused by the dis-
cussion that all the questions and
comments couldn't be answered
in the time alloted. Dancing and
refreshments brought a memor-
able evening to a close.
NEXT MONTH: Shaarey Zedek
vs. Northwest, with Temple Is-
rael hosting at Hampton School.
It's January 21 and YOU. are in-
vited.
