MRS. LOUIS GLASIER

Peculiarly and happily, the two
chairmen of this ,committee at
the present are the two most re-
cent past presidents of the largest
Jewish women's 'organizations in
the city, Hadassah, represented
by Mrs. Louis Glasier,. chairman,
and Council of Jewish Women,
represented by Mrs. H. V. Kreger,
co-chairman. They, together with
other members, probably know
more of the women in town than
any other group, and their selec-
tion did not come out of a grab
bag.
Although a baby in years, the
Women's Division of the Welfare
Federation is mature in thought
and activity, and no small meas-
ure of its maturity may be
credited to the intelligence and
competent functioning of this

tion with which this article
started.
There are eight committees
functioning now, covering all
phases of work. These are the
Office committee, doing clerical
work; the Arrangement commit-
tee, concerned with meetings,
rallies, etc.; the Committee on
Campaign Structure, now blue-
printing the Division's 1948 Al-
lied Jewish Campaign; the Hos-
pitality committee, a group of
gracious hostesses;. the Program
committee, planning interesting
events throughout the year; the
Promotion committee, mainly
telephoning; the Publicity com-
mittee, to inform you, and the
Education committee, which will
teach you—or else.
Work for All
It is easily seen that there is
of only a place for every woman
in the city who wishes to work,
but also the possibility of many
women being placed where they
have no interest, a waste of po-
tential power. Therefore, when
women are called and do not
choose to serve where requested,
it is possible to find a place where
they may be happier and offer
more in service.
