W ho will Head Kansas Federation Mandate
Reports

The contributions of Abe L. Sudran to the social service
progress of the Detroit Jewish community during his three
and one-half years as associate director of the Jewish Welfare
Federation were reviewed by Julian H. Krolik, president of
the Federation. Sudran, who left Detroit Wednesday to as-
sume the executive directorship of the Jewish Federation and

Council of Greater Kansas City,
was honored in farewell events
by the Federation board of gov-
ernors, the boards of directOrs of
the Women's Division and of the
Detroit Service Group, and the
Federation agency executives and
staff.
"While we are happy that an-
other community has recognized
Mr. Sudran's ability in inviting
him to head its welfare fund,"
Krolik said, "we of Detroit will
miss his outstanding leadership
and conscientious service."
As part of his Federation ac-
tivities, Sudran served as execu-
tive secretary of the Jewish Hos-
pital Association which recently
announced completion of final
Hospital plans. He was also in-
strumental in formation of the
Social Planning Committee, es-
tablished by the Federation to
provide a central "clearing house"
for community planning and co-
ordination of social services.
