Teen-Age Palestinians Find Life Early,
Avoid Delay
In America New and Strange' In Holiday Rush

By ALICE JEAN HARRIS

America is new and strange is what we heard when we
interviewed Ora and Eliad Lipsitz, who are of particular in-
terest to us since they represent the teen-age group of
Palestine. •
After spending 14 years in the "Land of Milk and Honey,"

matriculation is the Hebrew Un-
iversity in Jerusalem.
Ora explained that while the
family lived in a village near
Nathanya, visits to Tel Aviv and
Jerusalem were frequent, espec-
ially since she attended boarding
school in Jerusalem. Many of the
girls do this, she said, because the
villages are too small to have
much more than elementary
schooling.

holidays, there will be an in-
evitable delay in mail deliver-
ies. Our readers therefore are
urged to mail early and prefer-
ably to bring their copy to the

Mondays. There are indications
that a great deal of copy may
reach us too late for publication

are intended.

Jewish Agency Raises
Zion Flag in London

LONDON, (JTA)—The Jewish
Agency building on Great Russel
St. last week raised the Jewish
ag, which also was flown by
many Jewish homes in the Jew-
ish-populated East End.
An Agency statement declared
that the UN decision recognizes
the justice of the Jewish claim for
statehood and vindicates the
"wisdom of the great, far-sighted
act taken by Britain in 1917."

Tribute fo
Gertrude Finley Warner

While happy and carefree with loved
ones all
Must show us that He loved her much!
For she was spared suffering, pain
and such.

To those of us left to mourn and pray
For the soul of her who has passed
away
One ray of comfort shines through
our sorrow
As we wait till we meet again, some
Great Tomorrow.

That seems our lot as we leave this
earth
As by entering, through the throes of
birth!
But for her, by His mercy and loving
care
There was Glory and Peace as she
entered There!

we pause and reflect on each
noble deed
Bestowed on the stricken to those in
need
By this daughter of, Israel, who loved
and feared God
His Presence illuminated the paths
that she trod.
