Thursday evening was Hanukah
celebration night in all branches
of the United Hebrew Schools.
Participants at the David W.
Simons School were: Joseph Do-

Kleinbard, Naomi Klein, Charles
Olender, Phyllis Foster, Francis
Novetsky, Paul Richman, Judith
Sanders, Sybil Pudavick, Larry

dra Iczkovitz, Sharon Levy and
Donald Kaplan. The singing was
directed by Abraham Schacter.
In the Rose Sittig Cohen School,
the main features were two play-
lets. The following participated:

The main feature • at the Bag-
ley Public School branch was the
Palestinian film "Behind the
Blockade." Singing was conduct-

bette Kahn and Rhoda Coggan at
the piano. Students participating
in the program included David

Coggan, Marvin Pernikoff, Marvin
Rivkin, Jerry Grossman; Leonard

Stern, Barry Klein, Annette Lie-
berman, Harold Barron, Fred

owitz, Teddy Gans, Allan Becker
and Avrom Zeff.
In the Parkside school, a play-
let, "7 Sacrifices," was staged in
Hebrew. Participants in the pro-
gram were Sidelle Lewis, Dennis
Freeman, Robert Sher, 'Arnold
Fine, Michael Goode ; Carol -Bach-
man, Judith Katzman, Sonia
Ploshnick, Ruth Ellen. Katzman,
Fred Brainin and Sam Rosen.
The Central High. School cele-
bration was held during Sabbath
services. Hannan Nove was the
cantor, assisted by Sharon Super - -
stein. The participants in the cel-
ebration were: Larry Lipson,
Fred Imber, Barbara Pines, Mar-
ion Loewenthal, Jerry Schneider,
David Lewis, Neil Fink, Nelson
