Bnai David Women
To Celebrate Holiday
With Supper Monday

Bnai David Sisterhood will
hold its annual Hanukah celebra-
tion at 8:30 p. m. Monday, Dec.
15, at the synagogue social hall,
in the form of a Hanukah supper.
Mrs. E. Lovinger and Mrs.
Louis Biegler are in charge of
arrangements. Members of the
Auxiliary and the religious school
faculty will be guests of the Sis-
terhood.
The Bnai David Girl Scouts
will present a Hanukah play. The
following women will participate
in the candle-lighting ceremony:
Mesdames N. Sandubrae, M. Hof-
fenberg, G. Lubow, E. Green-
berg, E. Levin, S. Eisenberg, H.
Baker and J. Solomon.

Be 'Carefully Optimistic'

. STOCKHOLM (JTA) — Zion-
ists should be "carefully optim-
istic" concerning the prospects of
the Jewish state because of
"alarming events on the horizon,"
Emil Sandstrom, former chair-
man of the United Nations Spe-
cial Committee on Palestine, told
a meeting of Jews celebrating the
partition decision.

Rabbi Joshua Sperka officiated.
Mr. and Mrs. Shubow have left
on an extended honeymoon trip
to Miami Beach, Fla., Havana,
Cuba, New Orleans and Hartford,
Conn., and upon their return will
make their home in Detroit.
