Great Task Ahead in Palestine's Redemption

120 Organizations Send Delegates to City-Wide,

All-Day Conference of JNF Council This Sunday

More than 400 delegates, representing approxi-
mately 120 organizations, already have submitted
the names of their representatives to attend the city-
wide all-day conference of the Jewish National Fund
Council on Sunday, Dec. 14, at the Detroit-Leland
Hotel.
.. Many organizations held their elections this week.
Organizations which have not acted to appoint
delegates are called upon to do so at once and to
report on their selections to the Jewish National
Fund office, 11816 Dexter, TO. 8-7384.
The conference will celebrate the historic decision
of the United Nations in favor of the establishment
of the Jewish state.
An impressive Hanukah ceremony is planned, with
the eminent singer, Pavel Slavensky-Freilich, partici-
pating.
Rabbi Wolf Gold, world Mizrachi leader and one
of the Jewish spokesmen at the UN, will be the guest
speaker.

Irving W. Schlussel and William Hordes, president
and chairman of the board of the JNF Council, will
take an active part in the. program.
Tribute will be paid at the sessions to the memory
of Menahem Ussishkin, late president_ of the World
National Fund, whose vision made possible the
Pedemption of the Emek Yisrael. Without the acqui-
sition of such land, it would have been impossible
to win the UN decision in favor of a Jewish stae.
Honor also will be paid to other world leaders
whose pioneering efforts have led to the present
triumphs in Palestine.

This is the last call to organizations:
MAKE THE. CONFERENCE ON SUNDAY A
