Women's Club Activities
KADIMAH CLUB elected the
following officers: Mary S. Cohan,
president; Sadye Garfinkel, vice
president; Kate Wnlstein, secre-
tary; Ethel Levine, corresponding
secretary. Publicity is headed by
Rose Moscow. Ethel Rogers is in
charge of the Library Memorial
Fund project for building of a
library unit at Fresh Air Camp.
Freda Soloman is program chair-
man. Meetings continue biweek-
ly on Tuesday evenings.

INFANTS SERVICE GROUP
will have a paid-up membership
party at Magnolia Stables, Eight
Mile and Northwestern, on Nov.
24. It will be a "Sadie Hawkins"
party with prizes for best cos-
tumes. Contributions are being
made by the organization to Wo-
men's Emergency Food Commit-
tee for food and clothing for
Europe, City Inter-Racial Group
and Ruth Alden Dress Fund.

LT. ELI LEVIN AUXILIARY
230 visited the Veterans Hospital
in Dearborn Nov. 12 and pre-
sented a collapsible wheelchair
to Vincent Campbell, donated by
Mr. and Mrs. David Shapiro in
honor of their parents' 50th wed-
ding anniversary. The committee
visiting the hospital were: Rose
Gottlief, president; Julia Gale
and Ida Soskin, hospital co-chair-
men; Lillian Feld, Louba Lupiloff,
national regional vice president,
and Maurice Bordelove, depart-
ment commander.

Mrs. Charles Aller, president
of NEUGARTEN MEDICAL AID,
invites members, friends and
their children to an entertain-
ment program by Ruth Berdun
at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 28, at the
Jewish Center. Mrs. Milton Gold-
smith is in charge of hospitality,
and Mrs. Ben Kravitz heads the
program. A regular meeting will
precede the program.

luncheon of the JEWISH EURO-
PEAN WELFARE organization,
North Woodward Branch, sched-
uled for Dec. 9 at Bel Aire, will
be discussed at a brunch to be
held at the home of Mrs. H.

12 noon Monday, Nov. 24. Pro-
ceeds from the donor will go to
support European orphans. Con-

meet Monday evening at the Rose

will include a Fashion Show

chairman, will conduct the social
evening.

LIEF SOCIETY Nov. 13. Among
the reports of past and current
work submitted, special mention
was made of the work and visits
of the hospital committee to the
Jewish patients during Hanuksh.

book review for the Nov. 24 meet-
ing was made. Mrs. Ben Gale

delegates to the national Miz-
rachi Women's convention, have
returned from Atlantic City. The
next board meeting of the SIS-
TERS OF ZION MIZRACHI will
take place Dec. 3 at the home of
Mrs. Joseph H. Kunin, of Webb
Ave. Mrs. Abraham Danzig, na-
tional vice president of Mizrachi,
will speeak. Detroit's quota in
the national fund-raising effort
is $50,000.

and Mrs. Benjamin Pohl, of
Prairie Ave., became the bride of
Arthur R. Schreier, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Samuel Schreier of Les-
lie Ave., Oct. 26, at Shaarey
Zedek.
The bride's gown was fashion-
ed of white velvet and her three-
tiered veil of illusion was fasten-
ed to a velvet headpiece. She
carried white orchids on a pray-
erbook.
Her bridesmaids were Ann
Nochman, Eileen Pikin, Marilyn
Weisman and Phyllis Korn. Char-
lotte Schreier and Sandra Berk
were junior bridesmaids. Frances
Pohl was maid-of-honor to her
sister.
Joseph Silverschine was best
man, and the guests were seated
by Ernie Weiss, Gerald Meyerson,
Harold Adler and Murray Hoz-
man. Allan Schreier and Edwards
Schwartz were junior ushers.
After a dinner and reception
at the Bel-Aire Terrace, the
young couple left on a wedding
trip to New York, New Orleans
and Chicago. They will be at
home after Nov. 26.
