NEW YORK, (JTA)—"The
est United States-proposal for the
solution of the Palestine problem
is a most logical one," Rabbi Wolf
,Gold, chairman of the executive
of the World Mizrachi Organiza-
tion, told 500 delegates attending
an extraordinary conference of
the American Mizrachi. He warn-
ed, however, that Britain may
sabotage the plan by insisting
that the Arabs must consent be-
fort the British agree to the
proposition.
Leon Gellman, president of the
organization, pointed out that the
'Miziachi has been against parti.:
tion since it was first proposed
in 1937, but added that it was
necessary to • accept partition at
this time because "we have no
alternative ' He urged accept-
ance of a $2,000,000 budget, three-
fourths of which would be de
voted to work in Palestine and
the remaining portion to. • over-
'seas rescue work.
The delegateS • adopted resolu-
tions calling for an early solu
tion of - the Palestine problem by
the UN, inclusion of the Jewish
part• of Jerusalem in the ' pro-
jected Jewish state, and 'appeal-
ed to the Jewish. community in
Palestine to maintain ,. internal
peace.
Gedaliah Bublick, member of
the political advisory committee
of the Jewish AgencY and honor-
ary president of ,•he Mizrachi
Organization of America,- told the
conference that '``the • Russian
formula for implementing • the
partition proposal is a far more
practical one in a certain sense
than is that of the United States."
there 'is no conceivable reason,
he remarked, wily the United
States and . Russia cannot arrive
at a "working agreement for
instructor of a course in Bible.
