Doctors Meet Sunday

Emil Rothman, co-chairman of
the physicians' committee, have
issued a call for a meeting•,zf
Detroit doctors in the interest
of the Hadassah-Hebrew Univers-
ity Medical School campaign.
The doctors will meet at the
Jewish Center at noon Sunday.
An appeal that went to the
doctors pointed out that the age
level of physicians in Palestine
today is 50 to 70 and that there'
will be need for replacements
during the coming 10 years. For
this purpose, it is indicated, it is
necessary to establish the pro-
posed medical school.

Campaign, will be guest speakers
at a dinner in honor of Mrs. Dora
Ehrlich at Shaarey Zedek Syna-
gogue. 2900 W. Chicago Blvd.,
on Monday evening, Nov. 24.
Rabbi Morris Adler and Fred
M. Butzel, honorary chairmen of
the dinner committee, declared
that this tribute to Mrs. Ehrlich
has been arranged in furtherance
of the $4,000,000 campaign to es-
tablish the first Medical School
in Palestine. The campaign is
sponsored nationally by the Amer-
ican Friends of the Hebrew Uni-
yersity and Hadassah.
The testimonial dinner will be
given to Mrs. Ehrlich, the chair-
man of the Detroit Committee of
the Medical School Campagin, be-
cause of her untiring philanthro-
pic and communal activities in
Detroit and the state of Michi-
gan over a period of years.
Officers of the Committee of
Sponsors for the dinner in addi-
tion to Rabbi Adler and Mr. But-
zel are Alexander Schreiber,
Frank A. Wetsman and Leonard
A. Simons, co-chairmen. The

weekly movies, a Thanksgiving
party, featuring Morris Fried-
man, Zelig Levin and Frank Rat-
.kovin as entertainers. Three game
nights, the monthly birthday
party, entertainment by Bernie
Mintz and his orchestra Nov. 16,

firmary patients also are planned.
