dale. A guest speaker and corn-
edy skit are on the program.

Windsor's $125,000 Drive Will Open
With Dr. Glazer's Address Monday

Dr. B. Benedict Glazer of Tem-
ple Beth El will be guest speaker
at the dinner rally in behalf of
Windsor's $125,000 Welfare Fund
Drive Monday, Nov. 17, at Shaar
Hashomayim auditorium in Wind-

sor.

The campaign committee, head-
ed by Robert Slutzky, faces the
greatest task ever attempted by
a fund-raising group in Windsor,
Michael M. Sumner, bommunity
Council president, declared. The
goal is the highest ever set in
the Canadian city.
All of Windsor's Jewish com-
munity is invited to the dinner,
which will begin_at 6:30 p. m., or
to hear Dr. _Glazer, at 8 p. m.

SHAAREY ZEDEK YOUNG
PEOPLE'S SOCIETY will hold a
Sadie Hawkins Day party Sun-
day afternoon, Nov. 16. Those_
planning to attend are asked to
meet at 4:30 p. m. at Chicago
Blvd. and Lawton. Dancing, re-
freshments, games and communi-
ty singing are planned. Anyone
who can bring an automobile is
asked to do so.

TEMPLE BEITI-1 EL HIGH
SCHOOL will hold a Sadie Haw-
kins dance and box lunch supper
Saturday evening, Nov. 22 in the
social hall of the Temple.

The first workers' rally will be
held Wednesday, Nov. 19, and the
first workers' brunch Sunday,
Nov. 23. A big gifts' dinner
meeting is being planned by
Harry Vexler, chairman of that
division.
Other divisions of the campaign
are being directed by Mrs. Jacob
Rash; women's solicitation, and
Philip Strosberg, youth campaign.

`Self-Hate' Topic of
Dr. Beckwitt's Talk
Sunday Before JSG

Continuing its forum meetings,
the Junior Service Group of the
Jewish Welfare Federation will
present Dr. Morris Beckwitt,
prominent Detroit psychiatrist, in
a discussion on "Self Hate", 2:30
p. m. Sunday, Nov. 16, in Butzel
Hall of the Jewish Center.
This program is the second in
a series on prejudice which was
initiated on Oct. 26 by Prof.
Theodore Newcomb of the Uni-
versity of Michigan who des-
cribed the prejudice personality.
"Dr. Beckwitt will show why
members of a minority, group are
often prejudiced against their
own people. A member of the
Wayne University faculty, Dr.
Beckwitt served as a Major in the
Army, and was stationed in Italy
and North Africa.
Forum meetings are open only
to members, but new members
may register at the door preceed-
ing the meeting, according to S.
Joseph Fauman, chairman of the
forum committee.
