`House in Desert' Film
Represents Jewish Nation
The Edinburgh International
Film Festival made an "inter-
national political decision" • when
it recognized Palestine Jewry as
a Jewish nation by showing
Palestine's first film drama
"House in the Desert" as repre-
sentative of the Jewish com-
munity's life and effort.
"House in the Dessert" is the
first production of Palestine's first
motion picture company, Pales-
tine Films, Inc., Jerusalem, and
was produced in behalf of the
United Palestine Appeal, which
provides American financial sup-
port for the up-building of Pales-
tine and is corrently raising its
funds through the nation-wide
United Jewish Appeal campaign.
