troiters for his sensational mo-
tion pictures of the bombardment
of Warsaw by the Nazis, and its
heroic defense. Bryan was the
only cameraman to remain in
Warsaw during the bombardment,
and he risked his life to smuggle
his pictures home through the
Nazi lines. Subsequently he wrote
the book "Siege," which related
and illustrated the magnificent
defense of their capital by the
beleaguered Poles. Bryan calls
this defense one of the most
magnificent feats of all history.
Shown for the first time in
Detroit, Bryan's all-new pictures
present an eye-witness look at
the Poland of today. Bryan per-
sonally filmed the pictures last
December and January, and he
will tell what the Polish people
of today are thinking, and how
they are living.
Next Sunday afternoon, Oct. 26,
at 3:30, Bryan will show his new
motion pictures of "Inside Italy
. .. 1947," and tell of conditions
there as he saw them firsthand
a few months ago. Tickets and
information about the Bryan
lectures may be obtained from
World Adventure Series at De-
troit Institute of Arts, TE. 2-
