GUIBORIM was held at Bnai
Moshe. Louis Panush, professor of
Hebrew at Wayne University,
gave an analysis of the United Na-
tions Commitee's report on Pales-
tine. He suggested that, in view of
his study of the proposal, the Jew-
ish people should reject partition.

Mrs. Miller announces that

of the case committee, stated that
the demand for emergency relief
made upon Home Relief Society
is greater now than it has been in
some time and that the proceeds
of the event are needed to con-
tinue relief efforts.

Designs Living Program
In Series of Meetings

Career Group of the National
CounCil of Jewish Women has be-
gun a "Design for Living" pro-
gram, patterned for "the alert ca-
reer girl." The program was out-
lined by President Pearl Devenow
at the group's first •fall meeting
Sept. 9.
General meetings are scheduled
for the second Tuesday evening
of each month at the Jewish
Community Center. when mem-
bers and guests are invited to
come for dessert. A series of for-
ums, including such topics as
"Getting Along With People,"
"Guide to Career Success," "In-
terfaith Round Table," and "Labor
and Management' ' are planned.
Two co-ed functions, featuring
debates on "Bachelor Girl of
1948" and "A Dumb Program for
Bright People," also are in the
offing.
