Kereth-Corpotation Helps Alleviate
Palestine's Grave.Housing 'Shortage

Altliough the housing situation in Pa estine continues to

grave, creating vast social and economic problems, some -relief is

being fotind with construction of housing' projects, featuring low
rental family units, such as those pictured above. Funds for such
construction have been made available by the British Kereth Housing
and Mortgage Corp. Ltd. of Palestine. Jews in Britain invest in the
corporation which, in turn, builds houses which are rented to Pales-
tinian Jews. Similar investment projects are being considered in the

deeply into its newly-created
resources in order to launch more

tadrut, an organized force of
170,000 workers, is the chief fac-

mobilization.
William Bernstein, first mate
of the Exodus 1947, in his death

and American Jewry. It points

the way in which American Jew-
ish youth can go — the hard,
pioneering, constructive road
that is the choice of Palestine
youth. The Histadrut rejects the
divergence of Jewish energies
into channels of terrorism and
destruction; it aims to guide the
young powerful impulses of "our
youth into those avenues where
our real strength lies—coloniza-
tion, immigration and self de-
fense.
