Mr, and Mrs. Sidney Schott of Glynn Ct. have returned from a
visit in Charlevoix.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert T. Roberts of West Seven Mile Rd. are
spending the week in New York.
Mrs. Harry Becker of Strathcona Dr. left last Friday for New
York where she was joined by her daughter, Barbara, who has been
visiting the I. Bayre Levins in Provincetown, R. I. They will spend
_a short time at Racquett Lake in the Adirondacks before returning
home with Bob Becker who spent a few weeks at camp there: Mr.
Becker accompanied his wife to New York.

land Ave. are guests at the Grand Hotel at Mackinac Island.
Mr. and Mrs. Morris Baron of Tyler Ave. have returned from an
extended trip to the west coast.
Mr. and Mrs. Myron Keys of Wildemere Ave. have returned
from a . few weeks in Charlevoix.
Mr. and Mrs. Edward C. Levy of Wildemere Ave. are spending
a few weeks in the Upper Peninsula.
Edna Tobin of Broadstreet Ave. has returned from New York
where she was the guest of her sister, Della Tobin.
Mrs. Leonard Oppenheim and her daughter. Jane, of Whitmore
Rd. left Tuesday for Cleveland where they will spend a week visiting
with their family.
Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Kalt of Woodingham Dr. have returned
from a stay at Las Vegas, Nev.
Mrs. J. R. Baruch of Blaine Ave. had as her guest last week-end
her son. Alex, who, with his wife and small son, J6el, left for Madi-
son, Wis. where they plan to make their home.
Mrs. Melvin Kopple, her daughter, Babette, and son, Eugene, of
Parkside Ave. have left for Kingston-on-the-Hudson where they
will be the guests of Dr. Samuel Stern .
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Mannes returned to their home in New
York following a visit with Mr. and Mrs. Max Krell of the Lee Plaza
Apt. Mrs. Krell and her nephew, Stephen Aronstein of Woodmere,
L. I., who was also visiting her, accompanied them.
Maxine Deutch has returned to Los Angeles, following a visit
with her parents, Mr. and Mts. Harry Deutch of Buena Vista Ave.
Mrs. A. L. Jacobs of Glynn Ct.. has returned from a visit in
Chattanooga, Tenn.
Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Shekter have moved from Buena Vista
Ave. and are now residing at the Wilshire Apt,
Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Birnkrant of West Seven Mile Rd. have
returned from - a visit in California.
Mrs. John Is Brown of Strathcona Dr. has returned from a visit
in Chicago.
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Pinsky of Warrington Dr. have returned from
a motor trip through New England.
Mrs. Samuel Pollock of Byron Ave. is leaving this Friday to
spend a few weeks in Cleveland and in Erie, Pa., where she will
visit her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Pollock.
Mr. and Mrs. Mack Howard, their daughter. Suzanne, and son,
Harvey. of Ohio Ave. have returned from a motor trip to the west
coast.
Mrs. Ben Boxman and daughters of Cortland Ave. have returned
from a stay in Charlevoix. Mr. Boxman, who joined them for a few I
days. returned with them.
Mrs. Jerome Disner of Prairie Ave. has returned from a visit
in Miami Beach.

Ave., announced the engagement
of their daughter, Phylliss Rossa,
to Louis D. Mann of Champaign,
Ill. Mann was graduated from
the University of Illinois. Miss
Brown attends the University of
Illinois. The wedding will take
place in February.

Louis Brandeis Women
Inaugurate Fall Season

Louis D. Brandeis Women of
Bnai Brith opened their fall sea-
son with a meeting at the Cultural
Center. Plans for the fund-rais-
ing of the season to be held in
collaboration with all Detroit aux-
iliaries on Nov. 30 were formul-
taed. Rose Gutow is chairman
of this group.
A skit with lyrics put to the
songs of "Oklahoma" was writ-
ten for this meeting by H. Har-
mon Moss and was presented by
Pearl Rosenberg and her dramatic
group.
Bernice Howell presided.

Wayne U. Schedules
Two Hebrew Classes

Two classes in Hebrew will
again be offered in the College
of Liberal Arts at Wayne Univer-
sity this year, each offering four
hours of college credit.
Hebrew 1 will meet from four
to six p. m. Tuesdays and Thurs-
days, and Hebrew 103, a more ad-
vanced course, will be offered
from 7 to 9 p. m. Mondays and
Wednesdays. Louis Panush will
be the instructor.
