Mrs. Morrey H. Shepherd and daughters, Judy and Lor-
raine, of 4335 Cortland, have returned from a six week stay in
South Haven.
Returning Aug. 25 from Hayward, Wis., where they spent
the summer at North Star Camp, are Ronald Seltzer, son of Dr.
and Mrs. Lawrence Seltzer of Stratford Rd., Jonothan Sobeloff,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Isidore Sobeloff d'f Virginia Park; Mark
Fleischman, son of Mr. and Mrs. William M. Fleischman of
Whitmore Rd., and Sidney Lakoff, son of Dr. and Mrs. Charles
Lakoff of Oak Drive.
Lt. Eli Levin Post 230 and the Post's Ladies Auxiliary gave a
25th wedding anniversary surprise party in honor of Mr. and Mrs.
Philip Cantor at their home on Aug. 12.
The Cantors, both who are active in the JWV movement, re-
ceived many crogratulatory messages from prominent members of
JWV and were the receipients of many gifts. A midnight buffet was
served by the auxiliary.
Mrs. Andrew Hartman of Ohio Ave., has returned from a
week's visit in New York City, after taking a 10-day cruise to Ber-•
muda and Nassau. Her daughter. Audrey, also has returned after two
weeks at Crystal Beach, Ontario.
Harvey L. Vehon of Tuxedo Ave. has returned from a month's
stay in Los Angeles.
Mr. and Mrs. Aaron E. Rose and children ,Ellen, Judith and
Martin. of 18253 Sorrento, have returned from a stay in Youngstown,
0. While there they attended the wedding of their niece, Elaine
Krause, to Henry Harr, at which Judith Rose was a flower girl
Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Schreiber, formerly of 1130 Longfellow,
have moved to their new home at 3781 W. Outer Drive, near Wis-
consin.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry N. Silets, Los Angeles (formerly of Detroit),
are visiting with their children at their summer estate.
Mr. and Mrs. Herman K. Cohen and their daughter Myra, 3230
Glendale ave., have returned from a six-week vacation in New
Jersey.
Mr. and Mrs. Phillip M. Nattenberg returned to Chicago after
having spent two weeks as the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Morris Iden of
Grand
Ave.

After a honeymoon in Ferndale, N. Y., Mr. and Mrs. Jack M.
Emmer have arrived in Miami to make their home. Before her
marriage, Mrs. Emmer was Miss Lenore Nelkin, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Moe Nelkin, Newark. Emmer, formerly of Detroit is the
son of Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Emmer, Miami, and a graduate of Wayne
University.
Sylvia Stein and Sue Winston, both of 2210 Pingree, are vaca-
tioning at South Haven for two weeks.
Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Levin (Blanche Joseff of Detroit) and
son, Harvey, have returned to their home in St. Louis after a three-
week visit with their sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Merle
Bronstein of Tuxedo Ave.
Dr. and Mrs. Samuel Stulberg and son, Michael, have returned
from a vacation at the Ramona Park Hotel, Harbor - Springs, Mich.
Clarice Freud of Whitmore Rd. and her brother, Henry, are
vacationing in Northern Michigan.
Mrs. Moritz Kahn of Lincolnshire Dr. is visiting her son-in-law
and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Katzin of Chicago.
Mr. and Mrs. Warren Shwayder are spending a week at Hilton
Beach, Ont. as the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Julian Krolik.
Mr. and Mrs. Kurt Peiser returned to their home in Philadelphia
Sunday, following a visit with Mr. and Mrs. Irving T. Oberfelder of
Canterbury Rd.
Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Allen of Lincolnshire Dr. have returned
from/a month's stay in Bel Aire, Calif.
Mr. and Mrs. Erwin Simon and daughters of Northlawn Ave.
have returned from a fortnight at Lookout Point, Mich.
Mr. and Mrs.-Ile-rbert G. Blumberg of Chicago Blvd. are spend-
ing the week-end in Charlevoix visiting his mother, Mrs. Oscar
Blumberg, who is vacationing there.
Mrs. Leonard Kramer spent a few days viisting her mother, Mrs.
Julius Brown of Lincolnshire Dr., enroute to her home in New York
from Charlevoix.
Mr. and Mrs. Max Loewenstein of Fairfield Ave. have returned
from a stay at Moon Beach, Wis.
Marcia Tobin, who is attending the Manhattan School of Music,
is spending her vacotion with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Tobin
of Webb Ave.
Mr. and Mrs. Julian G. Wolfner and their daughter, Nancy, of
Burlington Rd. have returned from a stay in Charlevoix.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Wilk of New York spent a few days in
Detroit visiting with members of their family enroute to Minneapolis.
Mr. and Mrs. Max M. Fisher of Parkside Ave. have returned
from a stay at Lake Placid.
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Rothberg of Chicago Blvd. have returned
from a week in New York.
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Hartman of Chicago Blvd. have returned
from a month in Frankfort.
Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Kuttnauer and their daughters, Joan and
Marjory, are spending a fortnight at Moon Beach, Wis.
