Mr. and Mrs. Albert L. Kane of LaSalle Blvd. are spending a
fortnight at Lesser's Clover Lodge in Omena, Mich.
Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Bagdade, of 18093 Ilene, have returned
from New York, where Mr. Bagdade attended a national meeting of
the U. S. Olympia Association. He is a member of the board govern-
ing the 1948 ice skating Olympics. He is also vice-president of the
Amateur Ice Skating Union of the U. S. The couple also visited their
sons, Jack and Walter, who are spending the summer at Camp
Tamakwa, Algonquin Park, Ont.
Mrs. Minna Cross, 3741 Collingwood ave., and her daughter,
Rosalie, returned from a vacation in Charlevoix.
Mrs. Harry Yanich, 2319 Leslie Ave., is visiting with her children,
Rabbi and Mrs. Walter H. Plaut, at Herzl Camp, Webster, Wis.
( Barbara Becker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Becker of
Palmer Woods, will be the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Bayre Levin and
their daughter, Jane, at Provincetown, Cape Cod.
Bob Becker is spending the remainder of the summer at the
Raquette Lake Boys Club, Raquette Lake, N. Y.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Becker spent the week end at their farm
at Decatur, Mich.
Miss Claire Ettinger, 3010 Chicago blvd., is spending a month in
Atlantic City at the Brighton Hotel. Miss Sally Lou Ettinger of the
same address is at Camp Red Arrow, Wellston, Mich.
Mrs. Arthur Lipsitt, Outer Dr., left for North Hollywood, Calif.,
where she will be the guest of her sister, Mrs. Albert Bluestein,
formerly of Detroit.
Selma R. Grossman and Jean Foldman have returned from a
visit to Mackinac Island.
Mrs. Leon Meyers (Shirley Sovel) and son, David Laurence.
have returned to State College, Pa., after spending a month with her
family on Bryden Ave. She rejoined her husband, who is majoring
in medicine at Penn State.
Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Beitner and daughter, Rita Lou, left on a
motor trip to Los Angeles.
Mr. and Mrs. Sam Klein of Monterey Ave. and their daughters,
Jewel and Marilyn, recently returned from Kingsville, Ont., where
they spent a fortnight.
Mr. and Mrs. Leo Straus of the Lestra Knitters, celebrated their
25th Avedding anniversary July 28 with a family party at Club Bali.
Mr. aid Mrs. Straus also flew to Atlantic City for a week.
Mrs. Henry H. Shapero, president of the Women's Auxiliary of
the Department of Michigan, Jewish War Veterans, is attending the
national executive committee meeting in New York.
Jewel Klein of Monterey Ave. and her cousin, Ruth Margaretten
of New York, are spending the month of August visiting with rela-
tives on the West coast. They will be the guests of Dr. Joel Mar-
garetten in Beverly Hills, and of the Ellenbogen family at Sholem
Ranch, Tujunga, Calif.
Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Kaye and children, Marvin, Fred and
Joyce of 18400 Fairfield Ave. have returned from a vacation in
Atlantic City.
, Mr. and Mrs. Adrian D. Rosen and sons, Alan and Steven, have
returned from a five-week stay in Atlantic City.
Mr. and Mrs. Samuel N. Rosen and children have moved to
their new home on Warrington Dr.
Mrs. Ray M. Lewis and children Hershel and Henrietta are
Visiting in New York City.
Mrs. Sam Mann and son, Donald, of 16516 Mansfield, will leave
Aug. 15 to make their home in Los Angeles. Mr. Mann will join
them soon after the first of the year. Their new address will be
3781/2 So. Loma Drive, Los Angeles.
Judith Drachler, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Drachler,
directors of Farband Camp, was honored on her second birthday
with the purchase of a dunam of land in Palestine by guests at
the camp.
Mr. and Mrs. Samuel H. Weisman and children, Ronald Gary
and Myrna Gail, formerly of 3211 Calvert, are now residing at their
new home'at 16604 LaSalle Blvd.
Mr. and Mrs. Max D. Schuster of Pennington Dr. have returned
from a week's stay at the Grand Haven Hotel at Mackinac Island.
Beatrice Fine of Seward Ave. has returned from a few week's
visit at the Montieth Inn in Muskoka, Canada.
Mr. and Mrs. Morry M. Fenton of the Book Cadillac Hotel wish
to announce- Oct. 20 as the wedding date of their daughter, Arlene
Beverley, to Bud Gottloeb, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Gottloeb of

Anthony Gerosa, Barbara and Anthony, Jr., of New York City, Mr.

Justice and Mrs. Henry Butzel of Edison Ave. left. Wednesday
to spend a few weeks in Goderich, Ont.
Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Enggass of Cumberland Way, Mr. and
Mrs. Harry Farbsten of Burlington Dr. and Mr. and Mrs. Mortimer
H. Meyer of Suffolk Dr. left Wednesday for Tanglewood, in the
Berkshires, where they will attend the music festival.
Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Robinson of Northlawn Ave. are vacation-
ing in Traverse City.
Mr. and Mrs. William Sloman and their daughters of Roslyn Rd.
are vacationing in Frankfort.
On the occasion of their father's, Jack L. Isaacs, birthday, Mr.
and Mrs. Clarence Mills of Cincinnati and Mr. and Mrs. William L.
Fields of Roslyn Rd. were hosts at a party at the Mills Farm in
Charlevoix. Among the Detroiters who went to Charlevoix for the
occasion were, Mr. and Mrs. Irving T. Oberfelder, Mr. and Mrs.
Raymond Moers, Mr. and Mrs. Ira Cohen, and Dr. and Mrs. Arthur
Schiller.
En route to Cleveland where she will visit with her children,
Mrs. Albert Schloss of Los Angeles spent a fortnight in Detroit visit-
ing with friends.
Marie Newman of the Belcrest left Monday to spend 10 days
in Chicago.
Mrs. Hurd Whitney and her small daughter of New York are
the guests of her mother, Mrs. David Epston of Longwood Ave.
Dr. B. D. Welling and David M. Welling spent the last week-
end in Petoskey as the guest of the latter's sisters, Edna and Marg-
uerite Welling.

trip through the Canadian Rockies and the West Coast.

who accompanied her there, has returned to Detroit.
Mrs. Benjamin Krell of Cortland Ave. has just joined her daugh-

blue satin with an illusion neck-
line edged with lace and em-
broidered in seed-pearls. Her
veil of illusion fell from a crown
of lace and pearls.
