Construction has begun on the
new synagogue and community
center of Cong. Bnai Israel, lo-
cated at Oneida and Menominee
in Pontiac.
The one-story structure is de-
signed in modern style. The
synagogue proper seats 225, and

dressing rooms.
The exterior of the synagogue

is of brick and stone, with the
main entrance of Indiana lime-
stone, and the entrance patio of
red quarry tile.
The building was designed by
Louis G. Redstone, architect, of
Detroit. Phil Taubman of Pon-
tiac is the contractor.
