NEW YORK—Formulation of a
joint program to facilitate farm
settlement by Jewish veterans has
been announced' in the form of an
agreement concluded by the Jew-
ish War Veterans, USA, through
Charles I. Schottland, national
executive director of the veterans
group, and the Jewish Agricul-
tural Society, acting through its
managing director, Dr. Gabriel
Davidson.
Under the agreement, the two
organizations will aid veterans
with a cor- prehensive service
program extending from the
initial purchase of agricultural
property to guidance in modern
methods of successful "farm op-
eration. Veterans seeking pre-
paratory job training for agricul-
tural careers will be assisted by
the society's farm employment
department.
Assistance in obtaining govern-
mental benefits toward the pur-
chase of farm property will be
provided through the veterans
service program of the Jewish
War Veterans.
