Recent Bride
BLUMBERG - GROSSLIGHT:
The marriage of Marilyn Mae
Groislight, daughter of Mrs.
George Blumenthal and Sherman
Grosslight; and Edward Blum-
berg, son of Mrs..0sear R. Blum-
berg and the late Mr. Blumberg,
was solemnized Saturday even-
ing, June 21, at a beautiful cere-
mony in the "-garden of the
bride's home on Boston Blvd.
Rabbi Fine of Boston officiated.
The bride was lovely in her
gown of Chantilly lace, the fitted
bodice of which was fashioned
with a sweetheart neckline and
long pointed sleeves and the
skirt extended - into a court
train. Her veil of illusion cov-
ered the train and was fastened
to a crown of matching lace.
She carried a white prayer book
with an arrangement of white
orchids and stephanotis.
Jacqueline Bernstein was maid
of honor and the bridesmaids
were Marcia Cohen and Lois
Aronsson. Herbert G. Blumberg
served his brother as best man
and seating the guests were
Robert Welling, Harry Gordon,
Harold Rosen and Stanley Peri-
meter.
The couple are honeymooning
at the Arrowhead Springs Hotel
in California.

Jewish Legion in World War L
LOS ANGELES, (JTA) —Col,
John H. Patterson, commander of
the Jewish Legion, Which fought
with the British Army in-Pales-
tine and at Gallipoli during
World War I, died here June 18.
He was 80 years old. .
He was associated with the
Jewish fighting force from its
earliest days when it consisted
of but a handful of men and
commanded them when they
entered Palestine with Gen. Al-
lenby. After the war he took an
active part in the battle for a
