Miss Weintraub is president of

League, and is being initiated into
Sigma Alpha Iota, national music
fraternity. She is the first Jewish
musician to be accepted by the
Detroit chapter of this profession-
al group.
Formerly a professional singer,
Miss Weintraub teaches piano and
attends Wayne University, where
she is majoring in music and
plays string bass in the university
band.
Her program next Friday will
include selections by Bach, De-
bussy, Beethoven, Chopin, Dohn-
anyi, Brahms, and DeFalle. The
public is invited to attend.

the Mrs." radio program Wed-

first Jewish student to hold this
position.
A member of the U. of de-
bate squad and the fiille4l Stu-
dent Council, Weisberg was just
initiated into Phi Beta Kappa
and Phi Kappa Phi honor socie-
ties. He will receive his Bache-
lor of Arts degree in June and
will enter the Law School in
September.
Weisberg was formerly presi-
dent of the Junior Congregation
at Shaarey Zedek. He is the son
of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Weisberg.

eon of the Ladies Auxiliary of
the Hebrew Theological College
of Detroit, Yeshivath Chachmey
Lublin, will take place at 12:30
p. m. Tuesday, May 20, at Bnai
Moshe social hall, Dexter and
Lawrence.
The Auxiliary, under the pres-
idency of Mrs. Sarah Horowitz,
maintains the cafeteria of the
'Seminary, and depends on the
outcome of this event to carry
on this work.
Rabbi Nathan Kohler will be
the guest speaker at the lunch-
eon. Shirley Subar will sing He-
brew and Yiddish songs.
