MRS. DONALD S. SUCHER

On Wednesday, May 7, in a
double-ring candlelight ceremony
at the Book Cadillac Hotel, Ar-
lene Lenore Gendelman, daugh-
ter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Gen-
delman, became the bride of
Donald Sanford Sucher, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Sucher.
The bride's gown was fash-
ioned of heavy candlelight satin,
distinguished by a deep round
neckline encrusted with seed
pearl embroidery, with three
panels of similar embroidery in-
serted in the very full skirt
which swept into a cathedral
train. The sleeVes were long and
fitted, extending in points over
her hands. Her three tiered veil
was fashioned of French silk
tulle and was held in place by
a bonnet type headpiece of
matching satin, also embroidered
in seed pearls.
The matron-of-honor was Mrs.
Sidney Miller, aunt of the bride.
Bridesmaids were Mrs. Bernard
Marks, Miss Bernice Levitt, Miss
Elaine Gerendasy, Miss Fayanne
Greenblatt, Miss Clair Grossman
and Miss Esther Karp.
The bridegroom's best map
was his brother, Gerald Sucher.
His attendants were Stanley Kap-
lan, Buddy Schaefer, Bernard
Marks, Harold Sucher, Richard
Sucher and Seymour Seltzer.
After dinner and a reception
in the grand ballroom the couple
left for an extended trip to New
York and Bermuda.
Out-of-town guests were Mr.
and Mrs. Sol 'Fox,. Mr. and Mrs.
Richard Greene, Mr. and Mrs. L.
Finskey from Chicago, Mr. and
Mrs. Alfred Jackson and Mrs.

Frances Bloom, June bride-elect, is being extensively enter-
tained in Detroit, Chicago and 'Windsor. A personal shower was
given by Betty Kowaisky; a miscellaneous shower at Rosenberg's,
by Mrs. H. Moore and Mrs. I. Katz; another miscellaneous shower
by Mrs. Max Kozak; a linen shower, by Mrs. M. M. Davis of Chicago;

Bloom and her fiance, Paul Katz, a cocktail party is being given

Lucille Glick, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Serlin of
2575 Richton, has returned from a 15-month tour of duty on civilian
status with the war department. She was stationed in Vienna.
Mr. and Mrs. M. L. Weintraub of Los Angeles, formerly of
Detroit; announce the Confirmation of their daughter, Marilyn,
from the Wilshire Boulevard Temple, Sunday, May 25. Reception will

recently installed as spiritual leader of Tree of Life Congregation of
Flatbush, Brooklyn.
Mrs. Adolph Deutsch of 18495 San Juan Drive, has as her guest
her sister, Mrs. Karoly Wilhelm of Budapest, Hungary, who arrived
in New York from Vienna May 1. Mrs. Wilhelm will remain in this
country until September of this year.

Denver.
