Maimonides Medical Society of
Detroit will honor Dr. Noah E.
Aronstam with a testimonial din-
ner in the English Room of the
Statler Hotel at 7 p.m. Tuesday,
May 20.
This year marks the 75th birth-
day and 50th year in the prac-
tice of medicine of Dr. Aronstam,
a co-founder, and one of the past
presidents of the Maimonides So-
ciety. Dr. Aronstam is well
known among scientific, Zionist
and cultural groups as an em-
inent physician, devoted Zionist,
poet and philosopher.' He is a
former professor of dermatology
at the Michigan Medical College,
has published several hundred
scientific articles in domestic and
foreign medical journals, and is
still active in the practice of
dermatology.
The great need for relief and rehabilitation of Jewish Survivors
in Europe so vividly described by prominent speakers at a recent
rally in New York proved so heart-rending that MRS.- EMMA

Hebrew School Graduates of '23, '24
To Meet at Reunion Dinner May 12
The first and second graduat-
ing classes of the United Hebrew
Schools will meet at dinner Mon-
day, May 12, at Finkel's Restaur-
ant to renew friendships and dis-
cuss plans for service to the He-
brew Schools.
They also will honor one of
their colleagues, Meyer Harrison,
who spent 17 years in a kibbutz
in Palestine, and who is here for
a short visit.
The 1923 graduates are: Theo-
dore Baruch, Dr. Herman Ches-
_luk, William Dorchen, Meyer
Harrison, Max Hecker, Mrs. Jo-
seph Lee (Eva Shevitz), David
Lubetsky, Mrs. Norman Sand-
Weiss (Sadie Tilchin), Dr. Mor-

ham Reisen will be held May
20, at the Art Institute. Sidor
Belarsky, noted international
singer and interpreter of Jewish
folk songs and music, will ap-
pear in special selections of Yid-
dish and Hebrew folk music.
The Workmen's Circle Chorus,
directed by Dan Frohman, will
present some of Reisen's famous
songs. A dramatic presentation
will feature some of the poet's
famous skits and the program
will be climaxed by the personal
appearance of Abraham Reiser).
