NEW YORK, (JTA)—In a
telegram to Acting Secretary
of State Dean Acheson, the
Jewish War Veterans denied
that it was among the sponsors
of a meeting here called by the
American League for a Free
Palestine and the United Irish
of America.
Declaring that Harry R.
Urdang, a past commander of
the New York County JWV,
was "speaking only for him-
self" when he addressee

rally, Charles I. Schottlan
tonal' executive d i r e c t o r,
stated that the JWV com-
pletely disavowed a resolution
passed at the meeting calling
for the U. S. government to
withdraw all aid to the British
government " until it removes
its "invasion forces in Ireland
and Palestine."

Egyptian Fascist Speaks
To N. Y. Bund Meeting

NEW YORK, (Palcor) — Ger-
man Bundists and Arab pro-Axis
collaborationists joined forces in
New York last week when Ahmad
Hussein, leader of the notorious
Egyptian "Green Shirts" spoke
on the same platform with Kurt
Mertig and Ernst Elmhurst, both
recently released from jail terms
for having distributed slanderous
anti-Semitic literature in Queens
last year, according to the N. Y.
Post.
The rally of 150 anti-Semites
was sponsored by the Citizens

N. Y. Bnei Zion Order
Establishes Settlement

JERUSALEM, (JTA)—A new
Jewish settlement, Kfar Bnei
Zion, was established at Givoth
Raanana in the Sharon District.
It adjoins the American colony
of Raanana, founded more than
20 years ago by American Jews.
The new colony is located on
Jewish National Fund land, pur-
chased by the order of Bnei Zion

chief occupation will be truck
farming.
