Mr. and Mt's. Sanford Mandell returned to their home in Cleve-
land after spending last week-end as the guests of , Mrs. Mandell's
brother and sister-in-law, Dr. and Mrs. Otto Weiss of Broadstreet
• Blvd., on the occasion of their son, Joseph's, Bar Mitzvah.
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Feldstein of Lawrence Ave. have returned
from a week's stay in New York.
Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Samuels of Whitmore Rd.. have returned
from a stay in Miami Beach.
Nathan Kaplan of Roselawn Ave. has returned from a visit in
Dallas. Tex.
Mr. and Mrs. William Galrow of Leslie Ave. have returned from
a stay in Miami Beach.
Florence Grossman is spending her spring vacation from the
University of Michigan with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Grossman
of Glynn Ct.
Dr. Samuel Kaplan has returned from Princeipn University and
is spending his spring vacation with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. I.
Kaplan of 2472 Glendale.
Miss Marilyn Koblin has left for an extended visit in Los Angeles.
Miss Judy Pregerson is spending her spring vacation from the
University of Michigan with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Preger-
son of Webb Ave.
Joan Grosner, who is attending Western College, is visiting with
her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Sylvan Grosner, during her spring vacation.
Miss Shirley Smith celebrated her 16th birthday March 29 with
a luncheon for 30 guests at the Book Casino.
Harold Zide of Hazelwood Ave. has returned from Miami Beach.
Mrs. Reubin RappapoFt. Mrs. Max Steinlauf and Miss Ray
Newman gave a shower and luncheon in honor of bride-elect Shirley
Clarice Newman at the Hotel Book Cadillac.

At March 22 Ceremony

Betty Korash, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. William Korash. of East
Grand Blvd. and Merrill Wein-
berg, son of Mrs. Sophie Wein-
berg of the Seward Hotel. were
united in marriage by- Rabbis
Morris Adler and Jacob Hober-
man, assisted by Cantor Soften-
klar. March 22, at the Book-
Cadillac HoteL •
The bride wore - an ivory satin
and chantilly lace gown with a
square neckline, fitted bodice,
loop skirt and long train. Her
veil of illusion fell from a heart
shaped headpiece of chantilly lace
and seed pearls. She carried a
prayerbook with white orchids.
Bridesmaids were Ruth Elea-
non. Sybil Katz, Claire Pa rn ess
and Fritzie PearL Elaine Mador-
sky, niece of the bride, was jun-
ior bridesmaid.. Marilyn Korash.
sister of the bride, was maid of
honor, and Mrs. Max Madorsky,
sister of the bride, was matron
of honor.
Charles Levin was best man,
and Michael Belles, Irving Holtz-
man, Ira Spoon and Al Landau
were ushers. Eugene Korash,
brother of the bride, was junior
usher.
Out of town guests from
Milwauke, Philadelphia, Chica-
go. Patterson, N. J., Cleveland,
and New .York were present.
Dinner and reception for 400
followed the ceremony. The new-
lyweds are spending their honey-
moon in Havana, Cuba and New
Orleans.
Before her marriage, Miss Ko-
rash was entertained at a re-
ception given by her parents at
their home, a shower-luncheon at
the Book-Cadillac given by Mrs.
Sam Zuroff and Mrs. Puckovit-
sky, a shower-luncheon at the
Book-Cadillac given by Ruth El-
conin, a tea at the home of Mrs:
Max Madorsky given by Mrs.
Nat Korash and Mrs. Madorksy
and a luncheon at Huylers given
by Mrs. Sophie Weinberg.

Mark Golden Anniversary
At Ceremony at Bnai David

More than 250 persons watched
as Mr. and Mrs. Sam Wittus
walked down the aisle at the Bnai
David, March 30 to the tender and
meaningful strains of the "Anni-
versary Song." What they saw
was a replica of another day in
Poland, 50 years ago, when they
were married.
Preceding Mr. and Mrs. Wittus
to the altar were their children,
Mrs. R. Galchinsky, Mrs. A. Koss,
Morris Wittus, Dora Gantz, Mrs.
-N. Karr, Max Wittus of Califor-
nia and Irving Wittus of Las Ve-
gas, Nev. Ten grandchildren fol-
loWed.
The Wittuses came to Detroit
from Poland in 1910.
