ACTIVITIES IN SOCIETY

The officers and directors of the Hebrew Benevolent Society
(Chesed shel Emes) were entertained at a special Malave Malko
by Mr. and Mrs. Sam Jaffee, on the occasion of the birth of their
ninth grandson to Mr. and Mrs. Krentzen.
Mr. and Mrs. Louis Mann of Ohio Ave. left for several weeks. in
Miami Beach.
Mr. and Mrs. Irving Lamden of 12759 Littlefield are celebrating
their silver wedding anniversary this weekend with a trip to In-
dianapolis where they will attend the convention of Rexall druggists.
Mrs. Hannchen Rosenfelder, formerly of Munich, arrived in
the United States last week from Rome, Italy. She is staying with
her relatives, Mr. and Mrs. Herman H. Stark, 8531 LaSalle Blvd.
Mrs. Joseph H. Bearman of Santa Barbara Dr. has returned
from Coral Gables, Fla.
Mr. and Mrs. A Abraham Soifer will be at home-from 2 to 6 p. m.
Sunday, March 30, at 2546 Glynn Gt., in honor of their son, Sidney,
who has returned from 10 month's service in Japan. No cards.
Bunny Zemon, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Julian L. Zemon of
Wildemere Ave., and Joyce Barrar, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Martin
Barrar of Ohio Ave., students at Smith College in Northampton;
Mass., are spending their spring vacation with their parents.
Mr. and Mrs. David A. Borin of Woodingham Dr. have returned
from Miami Beach.
Mrs. Theodore Birnkrant of Whitmore Rd. has returned from
New York.
David Reibel and Arnold and Lee Chutkow of Denver, students
at the University of Chicago, are spending their spring vacation
with David's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Reibel of Huntington
Woods.
Mrs. Louis Dunn of Hazelwood Ave. has returned from a few
weeks stay in Miami Beach.
Mr. and Mrs. Ben Kramer of Whitmore Rd. left Tuesday for a
visit in Hot Springs, Ark.
Mrs. Norman Helpert of Elmhurst Ave. has returned from a few
weeks in Daytona Beach, Fla.
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph H. Kukes of Wisconsin Ave. have returned
from Miami Beach.
Honoring their father, Henry Klein, on his 80th birthday, Mrs.
Jean Schlesinger and Mrs. L. M. Bloomberg, will be at home at 19711
