Federation to Elect 9 to Board qt Meeting Tuesday

Nine members of the Board of Governors of the Jewish
Welfare Federation will be elected at the Federation's annual
meeting, at 8 p.m., Tuesday, March 18, at- the Hotel Statler.
Featured speaker will be Dr. Joseph J. Schwartz, director of
Eui- opean activities of the Joint DiStribution Committee, who
returned from Europe less than two weeks ago.
Julian H. Krolik will present.

in Parliament by Col. David
Croll, Jewish M. P., who stated
that "the existing policy was
vague, inadequate and would
bring only a trickle of immi-
grants."
"We have not done enough to
relieve the basic need or to salve
our conscience as continuing de-
mands from home and abroad
would indicate," he charged. "We
are profoundly uneasy about im-
migration. We know we must
adopt a positive plan, but we
seem to do so reluctantly. Instea d

bers of the corporation, it being the intention hereby to provide
representation for the various trade and professional service
groups of the working and contributing public; the Junior Service
Group; the Women's Division of the Federation; and the various
organizational groups of the community."
