ACTIVITIES IN SOCIETY

Dr. and Mrs. S. B. Danto of Chicago Blvd. and Dr. and Mrs.
Martin Cowan also of Chicago Blvd. have returned from a three-
week motor trip to New Orleans, La.
Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Ivan Frankel of Muirland Ave. have re-
turned from a few weeks in California.
Mrs. S. B. Kahn of Waverly Ave. has returned from a few
months stay in Miami Beach,
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Solomon of the Seward Hotel left by motor
for a few weeks in California.
Mrs. Joseph M. Dorfman of Sturtevant Ave. returned Thursday
from Louisville. Ky., where she spent the last few weeks visiting
with friends.
Mrs. Jack Albert of Holly, Mich., is vacationing in California.
Irwin Cohn of Fairfield Ave. left Tuesday for Miami Beach,
where he will join Mrs. Cohn who has been spending the winter
there.
Miss Sadie Weinstein of Calvert Ave. is spending a few weeks
in Martinsville, Ind.
Mr. and Mrs. Moe Leiter of Chicago Blvd. are spending a few
weeks in Hot Springs, Ark.
Mr. anti Mrs. Phillip Bresner of Cortland Ave. are leaving this
Friday for a few weeks in Biloxi, Miss.
Mr. and Mrs. Edward Krause of Calvert Ave. left Sunday for a
short stay in St. Joseph, Mich.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Janeway of Canterbury Rd. have returned
from a few weeks stay in California.
Mr. and Mrs. Ben Drapkin of Buena Vista Ave. have returned
from Miami Beach.
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Halperin of Hazelwood Ave. have returned
from San Bernardino, Calif., where they were guests at the Arrow-
head Springs, Hotel.
Mr. and Mrs. Louis Schlussel and their daughter, Mrs. Oshie
Baker, of Chicago Blvd. have returned from a few weeks stay in
Coral Gables, Fla. •
Mr. and Mrs. Walter Aronoff of Warrington Rd. are spending a
month on the west coast.
Mrs. Morris Witus of Fairfield Ave. has returned from a stay in
Miami Beach.
Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Levy of Lawrence Ave. have returned from
a month's stay in California.
Mr. and Mrs. Carl Langer of Pennington Dr. and Mr. and Mrs.
Irving Wartell of LaSalle Blvd. have returned after a week in
New York.
Mrs. Samuel Preston and her daughter, Judy. of Monterey Ave.
are spending the week-end as the guests of Mrs. Preston's brother-
in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Shepherd of St. Thomas, Ont.
Her daughter, Barbara, will attend the AZO convention in London,
Ont.
Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Fishman of LaSalle Blvd. and Mr. and Mrs.
Louis Glasier of Woodingham Dr. have returned from a visit in
New York.

FISHER - BURNSTINE: Lois
Jeannae Burnstine, daughter of
Dr. and Mrs. Perry Burnstine of
8451 LaSalle Blvd., became the
bride of Eugene Fisher, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Morris Fisher of
1691 Hazelwood, at a candlelight
ceremony Thursday e v e n i n g,
March 6, at Shaarey Zedek.
The bride chose a gown of
ivory satin wtih full skirt and
cathedral train. Her fingertip
veil of illusion fell from a tiara
of antique lace. She carried a
bouquet of white orchids, roses
and hyacinths.
Barbara Burnstine was her
sister's maid-of-honor and Bar-
bara Raiskin and Ruth Keller
were bridesmaids. Joseph Fisher
served his brother as best man.
The ushers were David Burnstine,
brother of the bride, and Maurice
Zuckerstein. Seating' the guests
were Joseph Mosok, Charles
Saulles, Nathan Weisberg, Nor-
man Ash, Jerome Ash, Marshall
Keller, Harry Vinacow and Ted
Jacobson.
After a reception in the social
hall of the synagogue, the couple
left for a honeymoon in Chicago.

Harry Mindel of Santa Monica,
Calif., announce the marriage of
their daughter, Dorothy M. Kline
of Detroit, to Abe M. Weber, son
of Mr. and Mrs. Sol Weber of

ROBERTS - ROTHMAN: T h e
marriage of Audrey Rothman and
Edward Roberts was solemnized
Friday noon, Feb. 28 in the Crys-
tal Ballroom of the Book Cadil-
lac Hotel with Dr. B. Benedict
Glazer officiating.
The bride, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Harry J. Rothman of Oak-
man Blvd., was lovely in her tra-
ditional gown of candlelight satin
fashioned with a fitted bodice
with a sweetheart neckline and
the very full skirt extending into
a court train. Her fingertip veil
was held by a mantilla of rose
pointe lace and she carried a bou-
quet of white orchids.
Mrs. Robert T. Roberts, in a
gown of copper crepe with a
matching maline halo, was ma-
tron of honor. She carried pink
camellias.
Robert T. Roberts was best
man. They are the sons of Mrs.
Joseph D. Rosenberg of the Bel-
crest and the late Mr. Rosenberg.
Following the wedding lunch-
eon, Mr. and Mrs. Roberts left
for a month at Acapulco, Mex.
Upon their return they will reside
at the Lee Crest Apts.

Olympic Hotel in Seattle, Wash.,
Feb. 3, Saralee Fern Poplack,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George
Poplack of Detroit became the
bride of Morris Leonard Shapiro,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles ;
Shapiro of Seattle. Rabbi Mai- 3
mon and Cantor Doris officiated.
The bride wore a princess
gown of ivory satin with a court
train. Her fingertip illusion veil
was held in place by a coronet of
net accented in pearls. She
carried a bouquet of white cam-
illias and white orchids.
Mrs. Abe Farber of Tacoma was
matron of honor, and the other
bridal attendants were Mrs. Ern-
est Blockoff and Rose Sherman,
bKidesmaids, and Robert Kohn,
junior bridesmaid.
Ushers were Richard Poplack
of Detroit, Max Cooper, and May-
er Grashin. Sam Kohn was best
man.
The couple spent their honey-
moon in Vancouver, B. C. They
