Heymans Leave On Trip to Palestine Gerber Visits Alaska; Views Army Task Force Lipman S. Gerber of 2491 Haz- elwood has returned from a three weeks' trip to Fairbanks, Alaska. He represented the Army Ordnance Department, Research and Development Divi- sion, at the Task Force "Frigid," where he observed the operation of automotive vehicles, storage batteries and other electrical equipment. Mr. Gerber found that at 50 degrees below zero it takes just about all one's energy to main- tain his own body heat. While in Fairbanks, Mr. Ger- ber visited Tanana Lodge No. 162, F. & A.M., the farthest north lodge of Masons in the world. He also attended a meeting of Baker Post No. 11, American Legion.
