the democratic process. It is a
caricature of the Negro people
and tries to portray the Negro in
the usual stereotype role. It plays
Hitler's game of humiliating an
entire race.
This movie paints the Negro as
a semi-illiterate, lazy. poverty-
stricken. though stupidly happy,
ne'er-do-well. Those who see this
picture will go away with the
feeling that it typifies the average
Negro. This is obviously a false- 1
hood.
Therefore, we urge the people
of Detroit to protest the showing
of this film by Walt Disney and
the United Detroit theaters.
Very truly yours.
