The exhibit of paintings by
Sigmund Livingston Lodge and
Harry Daniels, depicting the life
of the Jew in Poland and Polish Auxiliary of Bnai Brith will hold
villages and landscapes, will be their first membership meeting at
8:30 p. m. Wednesday, Jan. 29, at
the Jewish Community center.
Harry Yudkoff, past president
of District Grand Lodge No. 6
of Bnai Brith will be guest speak-
er. A program of entertainment,
featuring the "Stars of Tomor-
row," will be presented by the
Julie Adler Dance Studio.
Refreshments will be served,
followed by dancing. Members
and friends are invited to attend.

Chaim Shris, New York histor-
ian, will deliver a series of three
lectures on the subject "Historic
Facts in the Status of Jewry,"
under auspices of the City Com-
mittee of the Jewish National
Workers Alliance.
The lecture on Feb. 5 will be
given at the Rose Sittig Cohen
Bldg.
On Feb. 7, Mr. Shris will speak
at the Farband Shule, 1912 Tay-
lor.
His concluding lecture, on
Feb. 9, will be given at the Far-
band Shule.
Tickets, at $1 for the series,
are available from Farband

To Be SOS Dance
Estelle Starr Herman an-
nounces the 36th Holiday Hop
Dance. which is cooperating with
the SOS Relief Drive and fea-
tures the music of Bobby Gray-
son. will take place at 9:30 p. m..
Jan. 19, in the auditorium of the
Center.
A booth. under the supervision
of Ed Simon of the city-wide
SOS Committee, will be set up
in the lobby for the purchase of
food.

City-Wide Canvass
Boy Scouts of Troops 369 and
469. sponsored by the Center. are
participating in the city-wide
SOS collection scheduled for
Sunday morning, Jan. 19. The
area assigned to Troop 369 is
bounded by Waverly on the
north. Buena Vista on the south,
Lawton on the east, and Broad-
street on the west.

Cub Pack Holds
P6o1 Splash Party
Cub Pack 369 is holding a
splash party at the Center at 4
p. in., Sunday, Jan. 19. Admis-
sion will be one can of food of
any sort to be contributed to the
SOS Drive. Julius C. Pliskow,
chairman of the Pack Commit-
tee, is in charge of the party.

One thousand two-room flats
wilt be erected in 1947 by the
Housing Society for Ex-Service-
men. Ltd., in Palestine. The land
for the project has been provided
by J1\17, with a Jewish Agency
Loan of $600,000.
