Mr. and Mrs. Walter H. Plaut (Hadassah Yanich) rave returned
to Cincinnati after visiting with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry
Yanich of Leslie Ave. Mr. Plaut is a senior student at Hebrew
Union College.
Mr. and Mrs. Morris Pais, of Northlawn Ave., celebrated their
25th wedding anniversary Jan. 5 with a cocktail party at home fol-
lowed by a dinner at Northwood Inn fqr relatives and friends.
Out-of-town guests present included Isaac Pais, Mr. and Mrs. Max
Naiman, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Pais, Mrs. Rose Riechlin, and Theodore
Pais, of Chicago; and Julius Yore, Mrs. Julia Yore, and Miss Elaine
Yore, of New York City.
Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Brody of Muirland Ave. were hosts to
50 guests Tuesday evening at their home, honoring Dr. Shlomo
Kaplansky, president of the Hebrew Institute of Technology in
Haifa, Palestine.
Betty Goldberg of the Belcrest has returned to Goucher College
after having spent the holidays with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis
Goldberg.
Harry Stiglitz of 227'7 West Euclid has left for a cruise to Havana,
Cuba. He will return about Feb. 1.
Mrs. Sylvia Rosenberg of Seward Ave. had as her house guest
from Clarksburg, W. Va., her sister, Mrs. M. Stern, whom she hadn't
seen in many years, and the latter's son, H. Lee Stern.
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Erman of 18003 Pennington Drive entertained
24 children at a party honoring the fourth birthday of their daughter,
Melvene Fern.
Mrs. Jack Halperin and her mother, Mrs. M. Miller, have left
for an extended visit to Los Angeles.
Prof. Morris Weitz of the philosophy faculty of Vassar College,
spent the holidays with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. Weitz of 3344
Fullerton.
Mr. and Mrs. Reuben B. Klamer (Charlotte Brawer) are now
residing in St. Louis.
Mrs. Sam Carver of W. Chicago Blvd. has been visiting in Balti-
more with her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Kittner.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles M. Canvasser of 18231 San Juan Dr. are
vacationing in Miami Beach, Fla.
Mr. and Mrs. Jack E. Palk of Fullerton Ave. have returned from
a 10-day vacation in New York City.
