Anne Saltzstein of Chicago is the guest of her uncle and aunt,
Mr. and Mrs. Hirsch V. Kreger of Wildemere Ave.
Mr. and Mrs. Victor W. Klein of Stratford Rd. had as their
guests last week Mrs. Klein's brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and
Mrs. Robert Lowell, their daughter, Janine, and their nephew,
Johnny Friedman of Chicago. .
Richard Mintz returned Thursday to his home in Brookline,
Mass., following a visit with his fiancee, Miss Norma Wittelshofer
of Boston Blvd.
Mr. and Mrs. Isidore Sobeloff of Virginia Park had as their
guests last week, Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Feinstein of College
Park, Md.
David Crohn has returned to Baltimore following a few days
visit with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence W. Crohn of Wilde-
mere Ave.
Nancy Weisman of Suffolk Dr. is spending a few days in CM-
cinnati visiting with relatives.
Mr. and Mrs. Max M. Fisher of Parkside Ave. and Mr. and
Mrs. Jack Rothberg left on Thursday for Arizona where they will
be guests at a ranch near Tuscon.
Dr. and Mrs. Edward E. Levine of Whitmore Rd. have returned
from Miami Beach, Fla., where they spent the last few weeks.
Nancy Wollner of Burlington Rd., who is home for the vaca-
tion period from Smith College, is spending a few days visiting
with friends in Chicago.
Mimi Levin, daughter of Judge and Mrs. Theodore Levin is
spending the vacation period with her parents before returning
to her classes at the University of Chicago.
Howard Marks of Monroe, La., who is a student at Massachu-
setts Institute of Technology in Bosto&e,„ is spending the holiday
vacation with his fiancee, Betty Lewis of Whitmore Rd.
Marilyn Kopel, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Joseph Kopel of
Chicago Blvd. is spending a week visiting friends in South Bend.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Stamler of Monterey Ave. left on Wednes-
day for Tuscon, Ariz., where they plan to spend the winter months .
Lt. Arthur Miller, who is stationed with the U. S. Army
Medical Corps at Fort Sam Houston, Tex., is spending Ms leave
with his wife and small daughter at the home of her parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Samuel Lipchinsky of Leslie Ave.
Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Mitchell and their daughter, Joan, of
Lakewood Ave. left on Thursday for Miami Beach where they
plan to remain a month visiting with their son, Richard.
Mr. and Mrs. Morris Jacobs of Glynn Ct. had as their guests
their daughter, Judy, who was home for vacation from her classes
at the New York School of Social Work of Columbia University
and their son, SM 1/c Marvin Jacobs who was on leave from his
post at the Philadelphia Naval Base.
Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Isaacs of Picadilly Ave. have as their
guest, Mrs. Isaac's sister, Mrs. Abraham Wolk of Pittsburgh.
Alan Berlin of Roslyn Rd. has returned from New York where
he was visiting with friends.
Mr. and Mrs. Louis Sobel of Lincolnshire 'Dr. have as their
guest their niece, Rochelle Winston of New York.
Spending the last week-end in Detroit visiting with relatives
were Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Kozman, Mr. and Mrs. August Silver-
man and Miss Frances Blumberg of Toledo and Arthur Kozman
of Chicago.

vania where she visited with relatives.

David Mayer was home for the vacation period from is
classes at Oberlin College, Oberlin, 0., with his parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Julian H. Krolik of Chicago Blvd.
Mr. and Mrs. Joe Lipson of Gladstone Ave. left Dec. 25 for a
10-day visit to Charleston, S. C.
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Platt of Calvert Ave. honored their son,
Melvin, with a New Year's Eve party at the Bowery on the occa-
sion of his discharge from the Marine Corpi.
Women's Division
To Present 'Accent
On Youth' Program
Two principal aims were held
in view in planning the "Accent
on Youth" program to be present-
ed by the Women's Division of
the Jewish Welfare Federation,
Thursday, Jan. 30, at Hotel Stat-
kr, according to Mrs. Leonard
Weiner, chairman of the Divi-
sion's program committee.
"The panel discussions and
luncheon program will not only
define many problems which
every mother considers in regard
to her own children" Mrs. Wein-
er said, "but will describe the
work of local and overseas
agencies in solving the problems
of Jewish children throughout
the world."
Speakers will include John W.
Vandercook, well known radio
commentator, and Madam Alfred
Spanjaard, eye-witnesses to Nazi
brutalities.
The panel discussions will be-
gin at 10:30 a. m. while the
luncheon will be held at 12:30
p. m. Arrangements are in charge
of Mrs. Max Dushkin and Mrs.
Maurice Perlman.
Representatives of local
agencies who will lead the panel
discussions include Dr. Editha
Sterba of the Jewish Social Ser-
vice Bureau, Samuel Neushatz of
the Jewish Center, and Albert
Cohen of the Jewish Vocational
Service. Members of the Wo-
men's "Division will serve as
panel chairmen.
Windsor Nears
Campaign Goal
Surpassing any previous wel-
fare campaign in the Windsor
Jewish community, the Windsor
Community Council Welfare
fund drive has reached a total of
$91,368.
This represents more than 91
per cent of Windsor's $100,000
goal, with over 150 cards still to
be reported on. Harry R.
Schwartz, general canvass chair-
man, has expressed confidence
that the community will attain
its goal as soon as final reports
are in.
Boy Scouts Aid
SOS Campaign
Detroit Jewish B o y Scout
troups will conduct a house-to-
house campaign on behalf of the
SOS emergency collection of can-
ned goods for overseas relief,
from 10 a. in. to 2 p. rn., Sunday,
Jan. 19.
The following scoutmasters and
their units have already enlisted
in the drive: Ralph Brod, Troop
421; Dr. Herbert Bronson, Troop
179; Morris Klaus, Troop 104;
Maxwell Lowe, Troop 76; Irving
Ratner, Troop 135; Ben Silver-
berg, Troops 369 and 469; and Mil-
ton Stocker, Troop 248.

ceremony Nov. 9 in Cleveland's
Masonic Temple, Naomi Rodin,

Leatrice Rodin was her sister's

After a two-week honeymo(in
in New York, the newlyweds took
up residence in Cleveland, where
the bridegroom is completing his
education. He spent three years
overseas with the armed forces.
