Myron Rosenthal, 19, son of Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Rosen- thal, 2479 Blaine, on Sunday, Jan. 12, at 2:30, at Machpelah Cemetery. Rabbi Morris Adler will officiate, assisted by mem- bers of Julius Rosenwald Post of the American Legion. Sgt. Rosenthal was a member of the 715th Bombardment Squad- ron, 448th Bomb Group, stationed with the 8th Air Force in England. He entered service in 1943 after graduation from Cen- tral High School and went*ver- seas in October, 1944. On Jan. 7, 1945, he was reported missing in action, with his entire crew, on a mission to Achern, Germany. No trace of the B-24 plane or any member of the crew of nine has ever been located. In a let- ter to his parents, President Truman announced that Rosen- thal was posthumously awarded the Purple Heart and other medals, including service stars for participation in the Ardennes and Rhineland,, campaigns.
