Meat Ball Recipe Makes

Family Appreciate Cook

From the time she arises in
the morning until the last supper

dish is cleared away, the aver-
age housewife is in bondage to

her family's appetite. But, like so
many other necessary tasks, this
one provides ample compensation
and a sense of achievement when
the family responds with enthus-
iasm to one of its favorite dishes,

such as this one:
Sweet and Sour Meat
Balls

1 lb. ground meat.
% cup water
t cup Manischewites Matzo Meal
1 grated onion
1 egg
1 teaspoon salt
teaspoon pepper
Mix together above ingredients, then
roll mixture into balls of about two
inches diameter. Next prepare fol-
lowing ingredients as directed. % cup
sugar, 1 pt. boiling water, Li tsp. salt,
vs tsp. pepper, 1 cup canned tomatoes.
1 onion, chopped; 1 tbsp. chopped
green pepper. 1 tsp. citric acid.
Melt sugar in saucepan until it turns
light brown. Very carefully. pour in
boiling water. add salt, pepper, toma-
toes, onion, green pepper, and citric
acid. When this comes to a boil put
in meat balls and cook them for 1%,
hours. This recipe makes a to 10 balls.
