World Zionists Back Jewish State as Basis
For Participation in London Conference

WZO Expresses Appreciation to Truman for Consistent
Advocacy of Admission to Palestine of Refugees;
Seek Coalition Executive

(Special Cable to The Jewish News)
BASLE, Switzerland. (JTA)—While it became apparent
on Monday night that Dr. Chaim Weizmann would' be re-

elected president of the World Zionist Organization, by a
slim majority, Moshe Sneh refused to abandon efforts to
bring David Ben Gurion and Dr. Abba Hillel Silver together
to form a coalition executive without a single president and
without Dr. Weizmann.
Representatives of various parties sought agreement on
an executive which would secure widest support from the
World Zionist congress.
The delegation from the Zionist Organization of America
reiterated it would not enter an executive with Weizmann.
The latter's strongest support came from the Poale Zionists,
but it was contingent upon their accepting these conditions:

BASLE, (JTA) — A large-scale
economic program to make pos-
sible the absorption within a short
time of 200,000 immigrants was
outlined to the World Zionist
Congress by Emil Shcmorak, head
of the economic department of
the Jewish Agency. It calls for:
1. Priority to expenditures
