double checked the documents of
the group before they left Mun-
ich. Representatives of UNRRA

Frankfurter Urges
Support for UJA
Supreme Court Justice Felix
Frankfurter said this week the
United Jewish Appeal, which
adopted a 1947 quota of $170,000,-
000, "must make an appeal to all
for whom the dignity of man is
not merely a bit of rhetoric."
In a message to UJA, Justice
Frankfurter said: "The agony and
destruction which successful re-
sistance to world tyranny en-
tailtd have left no people un-
touched. But by common consent
Jewry in Europe was victimized
to a greater and more harrowing
degree than has fortunately been
the lot of other;."
