Columbians' Meeting
Winds Up in 'Tears'

ATLANTA (JTA)—A meeting
of the Columbians, anti-Negro
and anti-Jewish organizaton, was
broken up by a person who threw
a tear gas bomb through the win-
dow of a roots where it was being
held.
Police authorities expressed the
opinion that the bomb incident
might have been inspired by the
Columbians themselves in order
to draw sympathy to their move-
ment. The meeting was attended
by 500 persons including many
members of veterans organiza-
tions and_civic and church lead-
ers who had intended to challenge
the speakers' statements.
