LONDON, (Palcor) — Colonial
Secretary Creech-Jones, in reply
to questions in Commons, asserted
that the recent confiscation by
CID (Criminal Investigation De-
partment) officers in Palestine of
the personal papers of Gershon
Agronsky, editor and publisher of
the Palestine Post, on the latter's
return there from England, was
purely a routine matter under the
Palestine emergency regulations
and was not done on special or-
ders from the Colonial Office.
Agronsky's papers have already
been returned, the Colonial Sec-
retary said.
