riage of Shirlee Jean Sklare,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Morris
Sklare of Leslie Ave., to William
Jacobs, son of Mr. and Mrs. Phil
Jacobs of Kentucky Ave., was
solemnized at a candelight cere-
mony Oct. 22 at the Statler Hotel.
Rabbi Morris Adler officiated at
the ceremony, which was follow-
ed by a dinner, reception, and
dancing.
The bride wore a gown of tra-
ditional white satin with a yoke
of illusion net. Her veil fell from
a braided coronet of satin stud-
ded with seed pearls. She car-
ried orchids and lilies of the
valley.
Honor attendants were Mrs.
Sally Brontman and Mrs. Sander
Hillman. Barbara Lynne Hillman
was junior bridesmaid. Henry
trontman, Ralph Freedman, Har-
old Haas, Morey Wasserman,
Harry Milgrim, Sander Hillman,
George Wenger, and Joseph Fet-
ter. David Wenger was junior
usher.
The young couple are now
honeymooning at Miami Beach,
Florida.

Sylvia Collins and Dr. Sam
Krohn have bee „,appointed co-
chairmen of the organizations
division of the current SOS cam-
paign to contact all Jewish or-
ganizations in metropolitan De-
troit, except women's groups, who
are under the leadership of Mrs.
Harry Singer.
Miss Collins, Dr. Krohn and
their committee have arranged
for SOS chairmen to be appointed
by each group under whom col-
lections and transportation of.
SOS items Will be made.
The film, "Operation SOS" is
available , to organizations wishing
to show it at their SOS gather-
ings. It may be obtained by con-
