Six Detroiters
Are Delegates
To NCJN Parley

Mesdames Herbert M. Smith,
Benjamin Schwayder, Lewis B.
Daniels, Douglas I. Brown, Jo-
seph B. Gaylord, and Maxwell
Katzen of the Detroit Section,
National Council of Jewish Wo-
men, have been elected dele-
gates to the national organiza-
tion's first postwar Triennial
Convention, which will be held
in Dallas, Texas, Nov. 3 to 8.
Mrs. Joseph Welt, national
president of the Council, and
Mrs. Samuel R. Glowgower, hon-
orary director, are also attending.
Educators prominent in the
fields of social science, philoso-
phy, and intercultural relations
will sound the theme of the or-
ganization's 18th Triennial Con-
vention, "Faith and Humanity—
Unity and Peace," which will be
attended by more than 400 dele-
gates, representing 65,000 mem-
bers.
A major concern of the dele-
gates will be the Expanded Over-
seas Service Program in behalf
of European Jewry, which, dur-
ing the past year, has added two
new projects: homes for unat-
tached Jewish women in Europe
and social scholarships in this
country for qualified European
women who will return to aid in
social rehabilitation of their own
countries.

The Detroit Central Committee
of the Labor Zionist Organization
of America has arranged for a
public reception in honor of Em-
ma and Morris Schaver, to take
place on Tuesday evening, Nov.
19, at the Jewish Community
Center.
Mr. and Mrs. Schaver, who just
returned from Europe, will re-
port on their experiences in the
displaced persons camps in Ger-
many.
The public is invited. Admis-
sion is free.

MILIN-STARK: Barbara Jean
Milin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Jay Milin of Glynn Court, be-
came the bride of Robert Paul
Stark, son of Mrs. Betty Stark
of Monterey Ave., Oct. 8.
Rabbi Morris Adler performed
the ceremony and Cantor Jacob
Sonenklar sang •I Love You
Truly" in Hebrew.
For her wedding, the bride
chose an off-white dressmaker
suit with a matching hat. She
carried a Bible on which were
white roses and stephanotis.
Mrs. Shield Kogan, sister of
the groom, was matron of honor,
and Norman Z. Milin, brother of
the bride, served as best man.

WOLFE-KRAMER: Mrs. Tena
Kramer announces the marriage
of her daughter, Madelyn, to
Jerome Wolfe, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Morris Wolfe of Cortland
Av'e., on Sept. 29. The couple is
making its home in Chicago, Ill.

KINSLEY - MARGOLIS: Mrs.
Annie Kinsley of 2910 W. Grand
Ave. announces the marriage of
her son, Dr. George Kinsley, to
Miss Lillian Margolis, daughter
of Mr. and 1%, rs. Ezra Margolis of
Uniontown, Pa.. Oct. 15 in Plain-
field, N. Y. Mrs. ,. Kinsley is a
graduate of Northwestern Uni-
versity. Dr. Kinsley was gradu-
ated from Harvard College of
Medicine.

Mr. and Mrs. Hyman Blinder,
whose marriage was reported in
the issue of Nov. 1. are the son
and daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
lsak Blinc'er, and Mr. and Mrs.
Edward Fisher, respectively. The
names of the parents of the bride
and groom were incorrectly re-

Celebrates Success
Of '46-'47 Honor Roll

Detroit Hadassah will celebrate
the successful close of its 1946-47

Honor Roll undertaking, headed

by Mrs. Robert J. Newman, at a
meeting at 1:15 p. m. Tuesday,
Nov. 12, in the Brown Memorial
Chapel at Temple Beth El.
Muriel Wolfson, radio actress
and dramatics teacher, will pre-
sent Ben Aronin's costume drama
logue, "My Vineyard." A gradu-
ate of Northwestern University,
Miss Wolfson spent the war years
in radio writing and speaking
for the Traveler's Aid Society.
She is now enroute to an Eastern
tour.
Mrs. Harry L. Jones, executive
vice president, will preside at
the meeting, to which all regular
members, as well as Honor Roll
and Minyan contributors, are in-
vited.
The third in Hadassah's cur-
rent series of Town Hall discus-
sions is scheduled for Friday
Nov. 15, when Rabbi Morris Ad-
ler will speak on "Portraits of
American Jewish Youth."

At a recent dinner party at
their home, Mr. and Mrs. Nathan
Grunt of Hazelwood Ave., an-
nounced the engagement of their
daughter, Rose Barbara, to Al-
bert Ross, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Louis Ross of Woodingham Drive.
Miss Grunt is a student at High-
land Park Junior College. Mr.
Ross attended Wayne University.
