Jews In Canada Will Raise
91,500,000 For Relief Work
MONTREAL, (JTA) — The
Jews in Canada will raise their
quota of $1,500,000 for overseas
relief. to be spent mostly through
the Joint Distribution Commit-
tee, it was reported by Samuel
Bronfman, national president of
Canadian Jewish Congress at a
meeting of the organizatoin's na-
tional executive.

The next speaker on the Amer-
ican Jewish Congress radio hour
this Saturday, at 9:45 p. m., over
station WJLB, will be Arthur L.
Robbins, Assistant Prosecuting
Attorney of Wayne County and
head of the Civil Division in
Prosecutor Gerald K. 0 -Brien's
office. His topic will be "The
Forthcoming Elections" and why
it is important that everyone in
the community should get out and
vote.
Reuben Zaltman, national ex-
ecutive secretary of the Jewish
People's Fraternal Order, will ad-
dress a mass meeting Monday,
Oct. 28, at the Jewish Cultural
Center. 2705 Joy Road, at 8:30
p. m. Mr. Zaltman just returned
from an eight weeks tour of the
Jewish settlements in France and
Poland on a mission for the World
Jewish Congress. He will report
on Jewish conditions in Poland,
with emphasis on new Jewish
settlements in former Silesia. The
public is invited.
