Miss Betty Goldberg, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Goldberg,
of the Beicrest, left Sept. 23 to take up her studies at Goucher
College, Baltimore, Md.
Cpl. Saul Brand, son of Mr. and Mrs. I. Brand of Los Angeles,
formerly of Detroit, has been discharged from the Army Air Forces
and is visiting with friends in Detroit before leaving for California.
Morton Cohen of Pasadena Ave. left to resume his studies at the
College of Medicine of the University of Minnesota.
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Natow are now residing in their new
home at 18510 Hartwell.
Larry Schwartz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Nathan L. Schwartz, has
returned to Durham, N. C., where he will resume his studies at
Duke Medical School.
Dorothy Arshansky, of Dorothy's Catering, has returned from a
five-week visit in New York, where she also served as alternate
delegate to Hapoel Mizrachi convention.
Belle Moskowitz was hostess at a gathering of the Michigan
branch of the American Society of Hospital Pharmacists, held at the
Children's Hospital Convalescent Home at Farmington.
Mrs. John A. Heavenrich of Longfellow Ave. has returned
from a visit in Denver, Colo.
Mrs. Clarence Enggass of Cumberland Way left on Sunday for
New York for a, three weeks' stay.
Mrs. Samuel Weinstein of Beaumont, Tex., is visiting her broth-
er-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Archie Barnett of Pontiac.
Mr. and Mrs. Julian Cartier and small daughter have returned
from Cincinnati and are now residing at 19718 San Juan Dr.
Betty Soss, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Soss of Balmoral
Rd., has left to resume her studies at Olivet College.
Mrs. Leighton Steele and son, Tony, of Monterey Ave, are
leaving for a visit in California.
Miss Claire Solomon of Burlingame Ave. has left for New
York where she plans to spend the winter months.
Joan Grosner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sylvan .Grosner of
Atkinson Ave., left for Oxford, 0., to resume her studies at West-
ern College.
Miss Judy Jacobs, who was graduated from the University of
Michigan last June,. left to attend the New York School of Social
Work of Columbia University. She is the daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. 'Morris Jacobs of Glynn Ct.
Mrs. A. David Horowitz and son of Brooklyn are the guests of
Mrs. Horowitz's parents, Mr. and Mrs .Joseph N. Keidan of Calvert
Ave. Dr. Horowitz, who accompanied his family for a few days,
has returned home.
Dr. and Mrs. George Weiss and daughter, Jon, now are residing
at 3342 W. Chicago.
Frieda Frazer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Frazer of Leslie
Ave., left for Lansing to resume her studies at Michigan State

Pfc. Arthur MyrOn Stein left on Tuesday for his post at
Smoky Hill Army Air Field,•Salina, Kan., after a two weeks'
furlough with his mother, Mrs. Lillian Stein of Knottingham Rd.
Lois Goldman, daughter of the Harvey Goldmans of Canter-
bury Rd., left for Champaign, Ill., to attend the University of
Illinois.
Complimenting Irwin Cohn on the occasion of his 50th birth-
day, Dr. and Mrs. Daniel E. Cohn and Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Frank
were hosts to their family and a few intimate friends at a surprise
party at the Book Cadillac Hotel on Sept. 21.
Mrs. Edward Weiss of Buena Vista Ave. returned from Los
Angeles wh re she visited for the last six weeks.
Samuel Winkelman of Wausau, Wis., has been visiting his
daughter, M s. Annetta Bartel of W. Boston Blvd.

in Pennsylvania, and is now at-

lection has been issued by the

the film and suggest operators
who can project the 35 mm. film.
Other groups participating in
the SOS Drive for tinned foods,
bandages, medicines, vitamins,

layettes, safety pins and other
comfort items include the Sun-
day Schools, Talmud Torah, syn-
agogues and temples.
Materhity clothes are urgently
needed for expectant mothers
overseas. Such garments may be
contributed to the Drive via Lane
Bryant's special collection in the
downtown store.

2 Detroit Singers Added
To Rosenblatt Orchestras

Two well known Detroit girls

have been added to the S. Rosen-
blatt orchestras. They are Flor-
ence Weintraub and Marcia
Margolies, who sing all types of
ballads and Jewish folk songs.

To Hold Meeting Sunday
